We have a lot of opportunities for Worship and Reflection for Holy Week. Please pre-register with the Zion Office for any in-person event you plan on attending.

Palm Sunday (March 28^th) we are planning for in-person worship as well as online at 10:30 am.  Please call or email Kaylyn in the church office to pre-register if you plan on attending in person.

Maundy Thursday (April 1^st) we are invited to join Bishop Sid Haugen for evening worship at 7:00 pm. The Zoom information is as follows: Zoom link for all Holy week services  (Meeting ID: 843 1786 2145 Passcode: 306)

Parking Lot Communion will be available on Maundy Thursday from 2-3 pm and 5-6 pm.  It helps in planning if you call ahead, but “walk-ups” and “drive-ins” are welcome!

A brief devotion for Stripping of the Altar will be held on Maundy Thursday at 1:30 pm.  If you would like to participate, please call or email Kaylyn at the church office.

Good Friday Worship is at 11 am on April 2^nd.  Our maximum attendance is 60 persons; please register in advance.  We are sharing The Triumph of the Cross service with all Saskatoon ELCIC congregations online.

Easter Sunday Worship is at 10:30 am on April 4^th.  Our maximum attendance is 60 persons; please register in advance by calling or emailing Kaylyn in the office.

Worship with us and Trinity Lutheran Church this morning! They are hosting as one of the 7 ELCIC Churches. The service will be livestreamed on Trinity’s YouTube page here at 10:30 am.

We are also putting out a challenge this Lent and Easter for the Food Bank.

Let’s try something different this year – instead of collecting food for the Food Bank, let’s collect money to donate to the Food Bank!  Could we collect $500?  Since giving to the needy is one of the Lenten disciplines, and since we have drastically fewer people physically in the church due to Covid, it just seems like a good idea to try something different. 

Here’s how it would work.

• Place a monetary donation in your church envelope and be sure to note that it is for the Food Bank. Leave the donation at the church office.
• Kaylyn and Darlene will separate these donations, record them, and after Easter will forward them to the Food Bank.
• Beginning on Sunday, March 28, the church office will notify us by notice in the church bulletin and on Facebook, how close we are to meeting our goal.
• We will continue collecting through Easter Sunday as we have had a late start.
